Adafruit 9-DOF LSM9DS1 Breakout Board - STEMMA QT / Qwiic combines a 3-axis accelerometer, 3-axis magnetometer, and 3-axis gyroscope on one easy-to-use breakout. It is a practical all-in-one IMU for motion, heading, and orientation projects with Arduino, Feather, STM32, and other microcontrollers.
The accelerometer can detect gravity and measure acceleration in 3D space, the magnetometer can sense magnetic field direction for compass-style heading, and the gyroscope measures spin and twist. When these three sensors are used together, the board becomes a capable solution for orientation sensing, motion tracking, and interactive projects.
This version is STEMMA QT ready and includes qwiic-compatible connectors for quick plug-and-play I2C wiring. For more advanced setups, the breakout also exposes both I2C and SPI interfaces, along with several interrupt pins. The board is fully assembled and tested, includes extra header for breadboard use, and can work with both 3V and 5V logic systems thanks to onboard regulation and level shifting.

Note: the sensor breakout includes STEMMA QT / qwiic compatible connectors, but a QT cable is not included.
This breakout combines three 3-axis sensors in one chip: an accelerometer, a gyroscope, and a magnetometer. Together they provide 9 degrees of motion and orientation sensing.
It supports both I2C and SPI. The board is STEMMA QT / Qwiic ready for quick plug-and-play I2C connections, and it also breaks out the pins needed for SPI.
Yes. The breakout includes onboard voltage regulation and level-shifted inputs, so it can be powered from 3V to 5V and used with 3.3V or 5V logic devices.
The accelerometer supports ±2, ±4, ±8, and ±16 g. The magnetometer supports ±4, ±8, ±12, and ±16 gauss, and the gyroscope supports ±245, ±500, and ±2000 dps.
No. The supplier notes that the QT cable is not included.
The breakout board comes fully assembled and tested, and it includes some extra header for breadboard use. This makes it suitable for either soldered breadboard setup or cable-based I2C wiring.
