Overview
Adafruit LSM6DSOX 6-DoF Accelerometer Gyro Sensor is a compact IMU breakout built around ST's LSM6DSOX, combining a 3-axis accelerometer and 3-axis gyroscope on one board for motion, orientation, and activity sensing projects. It is a strong fit for robotics, wearables, gesture input, balancing systems, motion logging, and general embedded sensing.
The accelerometer supports selectable ranges of ±2 / ±4 / ±8 / ±16 g with update rates from 1.6 Hz to 6.7 kHz, while the gyroscope supports ±125 / ±250 / ±500 / ±1000 / ±2000 dps at 12.5 Hz to 6.7 kHz. Built-in motion features include tap detection, activity detection, pedometer or step counting, and a programmable finite state machine / machine learning core for basic gesture recognition.
For integration, the board supports I2C or SPI, includes STEMMA QT / qwiic-compatible connectors for quick solderless I2C hookup, and provides onboard voltage regulation plus level shifting so it can be used with 3V or 5V logic systems. Two configurable interrupt pins are available, and libraries are provided for Arduino, CircuitPython, Python, Raspberry Pi, and other single-board computers. QT cable not included.
