Overview

Adafruit LSM6DS3TR-C 6-DoF IMU is a compact motion sensor breakout built around ST's LSM6DS3TR-C, combining a 3-axis accelerometer and 3-axis gyroscope on one easy-to-use board. It is a solid choice for robotics, motion logging, handheld projects, gesture input, balancing systems, and general inertial sensing.

The sensor supports accelerometer ranges of ±2/±4/±8/±16 g full scale and gyroscope ranges of ±125/±250/±500/±1000/±2000 dps full scale, with output data rates up to 1.6 KHz ODR. Communication is available over both I2C and SPI hardware interfaces, and the onboard regulation plus level-shifted inputs make the breakout friendly for both 3V and 5V microcontroller systems.

For quick wiring, the board includes STEMMA QT / Qwiic-compatible connectors for the I2C bus, and the I2C address can be set to 0x6A or 0x6B so you can place two boards on the same bus. Do note that this is a 6-DoF IMU only and does not include a magnetometer, so fully referenced heading/orientation applications may require a companion sensor such as the LIS3MDL.
