Overview

The Adafruit LM66200 Ideal Dual Diode Breakout Board provides an easy and efficient way to automatically switch between two power sources such as USB, battery, or DC input. It uses low-loss ideal diode circuitry with ~40 mΩ RdsOn to minimize voltage drop while safely preventing back-powering between supplies.

Supporting 2–5 V inputs and up to 2.5 A continuous current, the board includes enable and status pins for power control and monitoring. Its compact, breadboard-friendly design with 0.1″ breakout pads makes it ideal for portable and dual-power electronics projects.

Pin Description
VIN1 First power input (2–5 V DC). Can be connected to USB, battery, or DC supply.
VIN2 Second power input (2–5 V DC). The higher of VIN1 or VIN2 is automatically selected.
GND Common ground for both input supplies and the output.
VOUT Power output. Provides the higher of VIN1 or VIN2 with minimal voltage drop.
!ON (EN) Enable control pin. Pull high to disable the output. Onboard 1 MΩ pull-down enables output by default.
STA Status output indicating which input supply is currently active.
