Overview

Adafruit AHT20 Temperature & Humidity Sensor Breakout is an easy-to-use digital sensor board for measuring ambient temperature and relative humidity over a standard I2C interface. It is a practical modern alternative to older timing-sensitive DHT-style sensors, and works well with Arduino, Feather, Raspberry Pi, and other Linux or Blinka-supported boards.

The sensor covers a wide operating range of -40 to 85 °C and 0 to 100% RH. Adafruit lists typical mid-range accuracy of ±0.3 °C and ±2% RH, with full-range typical accuracy of ±1 °C and ±3% RH. Communication uses the fixed I2C address 0x38, so this breakout is best suited to applications that only need one AHT20 on the same bus.

The breakout includes the required support circuitry and supports 3.3V or 5V power/logic, so it fits neatly into both microcontroller and SBC projects. Dual STEMMA QT / Qwiic-compatible JST-SH connectors make solderless hookup simple, while the standard VIN, GND, SCL, and SDA pins are also available for direct wiring.
