Overview
The Motor Driver HAT for Raspberry Pi is a motor controller board involving DC motors and stepper motors. It utilizes the TB6612FNG dual H-bridge motor driver for efficient performance and is controlled via the I2C interface, making it easy to integrate with Raspberry Pi boards.
The HAT requires a power supply of 6V to 12V connected through the VIN terminal, with a logic voltage of 3.3V. It features a PWM driver (PCA9685) for precise motor control, allowing you to adjust motor speed with 12-bit hardware PWM. The motor driver can drive two DC motors or one stepper motor at a time.
The HAT is stackable by chaging the 5 address jumpers, supporting up to 32 stacked boards and is compatible with Raspberry Pi boards via the 40-pin GPIO header. Additionally, the board includes a set of reserved I2C control pins for integrating other control boards.
