Overview

The Adafruit 12V Bias Voltage Boost Converter Breakout uses the efficient Texas Instruments TPS61040 to generate a stable 12V output from as little as 3V input. It’s commonly used to provide the 12V bias voltage required by OLED displays and other low-current, high-voltage circuits.

Designed for light loads, the board delivers up to ~40 mA at 12V, making it ideal for OLED biasing, LED backlights, and FLASH/EEPROM programming—without the need for a separate 12V supply. Just feed 2–6V DC into the input pins to get a regulated 12V output, and use the Enable pin to turn the converter on or off as needed.
