Description
So you are done prototyping on an Arduino Uno and want to make your project more compact? ATMega328P microcontroller chip with a pre-installed Arduino bootloader will get you up rolling. This is the same DIP chip that powers an Arduino Uno.
Hook in a 16 MHz crystal along with a couple of 20pF capacitors, a power supply and you have a setup ready to put in the project. To program the chip, your can either put it in an Arduino Uno's DIP socket or provide a serial interface and then program it with something like an AVR Programmer or an FTDI cable. If you wanty to program the chip then you should select the Arduino UNO board within the Arduino IDE tools menu.Specifications
